Ranking the most popular E3 Games for 2019 which includes Cyberpunk 2077, Avengers, and more.
E3 was a huge success for the likes of CD Project Red, Xbox, and Square Enix, to name a few. While E3 wasn’t that exciting like previous years, it did bring us some job with some amazing titles coming out in the next year.
So without further ado, let’s take a look at the top 5 most popular E3 games for 2019.
1. Cyberpunk 2077
It’s no surprise that Cyberpunk 2077 will dominate this list following the surprise reveal of Keanu Reeves in the E3 trailer. The mega-popular, super cool, and humble Keanu made a shock appearance during CD Project Red’s E3 2019 press conference. The “even before Keanu popular” Cyberpunk 2077 just became even more popular, with several Twitter users calling for the game to be awarded the “2020 Game of the Year”.
CD Project Red announced that the demo for Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for PAX West 2019. But even that, we would still have to wait until April 16th, 2020 for the full PC, Xbox One, and PS4 release.
2. Marvel’s Avengers
Marvel decided to partner with Square Enix in creating a video game, following the success of Avengers: Endgame. The game was announced before E3 shortly after the movie hit the cinemas. However, during Square Enix’s E3 press conference, the game was revealed and it grabbed the attention of fans and foes alike. Square Enix teased Marvel fans with a short dramatic trailer followed by release date – May 15th, 2020.
The game is predicted to line up some of Earth’s mightiest heroes like Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk, and Captain America. While Square Enix didn’t have much to show us, there is still real hype surrounding the game and we had to give it the 2nd place.
3. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
This game has been on everyone’s radar since the last E3 when Respawn Entertainment announced the name. During E3, EA showed fans live stream gameplay of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and journalists even found out that the game won’t have loading screens. The game will feature some key antagonists and protagonists, as well as, an adorable BD-1 droid. The game developers, Respawn Entertainment said that they looked into Dark Souls as combat inspiration.
4. Legend of Zelda: breath of the Wild Sequel
I guess one of the biggest surprises at E3 was when Nintendo announced a sequel to the highly successful Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. At the end of Nintendo’s E3 press conference, we were treated with a moody trailer featuring Zelda, Link, and what looks like the reanimated corpse of Ganondorf. Eiji Aonuma didn’t deny the possibility of this game having co-op settings or the possibility of Zelda being playable. Nintendo fans were more than happy at the prospect of one of their favorite franchises receiving yet another game behind its name.
